We’ve noticed this on our guinea pig nugget tonight it’s hard but what could it be? Is it treatable? Does he desperately need to go vets?

Looks like a back tooth that's grown through the gum? Either way I'd say it's vet time!

I have no idea what it is, however I’d say yes take him to the vet. On the forum, we can’t diagnose conditions as we aren’t vets and we can’t examine the pig physically. If you ever have any concerns, go to your exotic vet as they can tell you what’s going on.
Can I also ask what your Guinea pigs diet is? Only because it looks like a tooth and teeth problems can stem from incorrect diet sometimes.
Also how much does he weigh? If it is a tooth then he may have been struggling to eat and could have lost weight

If it’s attached only to the hair my guess is that your boars have been playing hard and that is boar glue.

Neutered or not they can still produce boar glue only option is to cut leave it, because of where it is. Welcome to boarhood

how do u get boar glue off? We don’t think it’s a growth as it wasn’t there yesterday he’s eating well (plenty of hay,pellets and kale,small amount of carrots, cabbage, peppers etc) he’s drinking fine and is his normal self

Ha ha sorry if I worried you, I've only got girls but good luck with your glamorous job there

I’d try and get it off with a damp cloth or something, but if it won’t come off then you may need to carefully try and cut it off. If that’s a bit too close to the skin to do, then perhaps you could wait for it to fall off if it isn’t causing problems

I would leave it because of where it is. It will eventually come off.
