I've mentioned before that my driver is gone for a few weeks. He has been with us for a long time and we consider him and his family as personal friends. He has a name I can't pronounce so we have given him an Occidental nickname but almost everyone just calls him the driver.
As he is gone I cleaned the guinea's cage today. I found they still have the habit of passing their droppings and urine through the bars and on the walls behind their cage. They also do their business everywhere: in their food containers and in their bed. We have a toilet box for them but they rarely use it.
Now that they spend most of the day in the living room running free they only place their droppings in one corner of the room under the sofa. That's nice but how do I get them to be as clean in their cage?
It's a four level cage and it was so difficult to clean not to mention the wallpaper they have soiled behind their cage.
P.S. Now that I know the work involved with cage cleaning, my driver is getting a pay increase!
