help with scabs how long do funal (ringworm) infections take to clear up?

had naboo diagnosed yesterday with scan on nose, lower lip, scaly flaky foot and scabs on ears - got the shampoo and ointment from vet but how long will he look scabby for...with the scabs on his nose and lip when i bathe him should i try to remove them or leave them? help please
 
just leave the scabs has i have a guinea recovering from ringworm its taken about 2 wks for the scabs to go with the cream but then you need to keep putting the cream on for 2 wks after the scabs have gone and hair regrowth or it will come back..

if its ringworm then its very catching even to you until the scabs have gone x
 
Can't help with that one sorry. I have only ever treated ringworm with Itrafungol, where you can see a real improvement within 7 days. If your regieme is as good maybe the time scale is similar. Good luck. xx
 
thanks guys yeah using gloves on him but she reckons its been dormant in him for 12 weeks which i dont believe i just hope i dont get ringworm in italy when i go in 3 weeks arghhhhhhhhhhhhh. so does ringworm give little scabs on nose and on bottom lip like a cold sore
 
Treated a bad case of ringworm earlier this year. Took around 5 weeks for the ringworm to clear up. Hair will take a while to grow back. Treatment was oral and cream. Just left the scabs to do their own thing.
 
no hair missing thank goodness...scabs fell off tonight after bath we didnt poke them but the fungal bath then solution must of crusted it more and it came off....he seems happy enough still popcorning and he was a little star and loved his bath
 
My Guinea pig buttercup has just recovered from ringworm, the vet prescribed mycozole which i used for about 10-11 days, its been about 3 weeks since she had it and she is more or less cleared up now and the hair on her nose has grown back, i have not caught it as i wore gloves whilst handling her, i think you can just use canestan cream on humans maybe take some on hols with you just in case. xx
