Hi everyone

Sorry if theres already a thread on here about herbs but could I just ask which ones are ok and which are not as I've just bought a herb garden pot with about 8 different varieties and thought it would be nice just to give them an odd leaf now and again!

Chris

OK (and actually good to give): soft leaved herbs like parsley, coriander, basil, dill, mint etc.

Too rich in concentrated essential oils: rosemary, lavender etc.

Oops! I always thought lavender was ok. I have loads in the garden and mine have always loved the occasional bit every now and again but I'll not give it any more. Is it actually toxic or just not ideal, Wiebke?

Chris, I'd definitely avoid chives too, as they're closely related to onions which are a definite no-no for guineas.

Sage is on the list but listed as 'question', has anyone tried giving this to their guineas?

i give chesney and maisie -

parsley (flat leaf and curly)
coriander
basil
thyme
dill

you should have seen their reaction at mint though! they were horrified! :))
