Here are my purpose build G.Pig shed plans!

As some of you are aware i have wanted a purpose built guinea pig shed for several months and i am delighted to say that the plans have finally been drawn up and i am posting them on here for your approval.

It will be 6ft by 9ft
6ft x 5ft will be indoor shed
6ft x 4ft will be enclosed and roofed run area.

My herd of nine will be moving out of thier existing Molly's Mansion to live in the shed free range and i will have 3 other girls join them.

There will be a double story hutch in the shed for the guinea pigs to use at their leisure. THe floor of the shed will be lino with hay bedding.

This is the plans for the shed (to be called Piggy Paradise)

As you can see both doors into the shed will be stable doors so it will stay cool in the summer. I have added a large window to let in the light and i have also added a guinea pig hatch so that they can have access to the run in the winter months without the big door having to be opened and letting in the cold. I plan to heat the shed in the winter, although not yet sure how.
Let me know what you think, i would love your suggestions of what else i could do to the inside to make it fun and comfertable for the herd xx

I don't know about the piggies, are you taking paying guests!

I have just put the deposit down on the shed! so excited it should be ready in the next 2-4 weeks. Think i might have a grand opening party. I have ordered a plaque that says Piggy Paradise too from ebay xx
 
Flippin' heck, it's humongous! The plaque is just a positively adorable idea, will you take pics when it's all set up with the piggies inside?!
 
The Molly's Mansion has been a really great hutch and its definately worth buying the cover for it. I am actually giving my Molly's Mansion away once the shed is up and running, so if anyone is interested and can collect it then it's yours, just let me know xx

Lol thanks, i will definately be taking lots of pictures and i am really hoping to have a bit of a grand opening party so watch this space xx

I would love the molly mansion, it looks awesome, I have no idea if it would fit in my garden though 8... I'm sure the trio would prefer to be outside away from demonic toddler xx
 
well le me know cause i am sure we could get it to your house. if you google Molly's Mansion and then look up the dimensions and you can measure your garden xx
 
Ohhh can I let you know tonight? I can not be trusted to measure as well I'm crappola but I could ask Neil to do it. It would be fab if it would fit x

erm........maybe you could line the walls and ceiling to help with cooling and heating? no idea whatelse to suggset :{

can't wait for the pigtures drool
 
I had one the same for my first few chickens! You'll love it and so will the piggies, very awesome! when i got mine i considered it but i prefer my pigs indoors.
Just be sure to make it secure to the ground so nothing can get underneath, i found that mine never sat quite level no matter where i put it lol but that was my wonky garden!

I think you need to pm me for my address and have it delivered here instead :)) I've got plans for shed number 2 for quarantine but will probably be next summer now rolleyes

Dont worry i am having the company install in for me too, so hopefully it will all be secured. We have already lay a patio to put it on so no foxes can dig their way in. xx

Lol sorry i have worked all hours to pay for the shed and it certainly has not been the cheapest project in the world xx
They really are very lucky piggies xx

I know just how you feel, you'll be so happy when it's up and animals are in there :)
