PAMELAKT
Adult Guinea Pig
There's no amazing story I'm afraid, I found out through a friend that they were looking for a home so went for a look.. having just had elderly sickly boys I wanted young ones if possible this time...Aww twins! Gorgeous. What's their story?
They're just gorgeous, and so soft! Beautiful little things... Can't wait for them to settle in & stop hiding from me!That's a very happy accident, they are gorgeous, love their colouring.
I'm using my old one at the moment while they are small - still thinking about what to upgrade to! xThey look lovely. What cage did you go for in the end?
Pretty hard to resist !Congrats! I can see how you ended up with those gorgeous boys!![]()
Thank you! They're hiding away at the moment & it's weird because I'm not used to it anymore haventhad babies in years! I hope they come out & explore in the night I'm worried they won't have enough to drink etc!Sonny & Dexter are very handsome. And very lucky to have landed on their little paws in getting a new home with you. Look forward to seeing more of them on here.
So, Dexter is quite confident & is out & about already in the cage exploring & eating well - but sonny hasn't budged all night. I've had him out & he seems ok, but I don't think he's had anything to eat or drink & wont eat any veg I pop in front of him.
Dexter isn't really sitting with him too much, He's very busy all the time...
Do you think that's ok?! I know they can take ages to get familiar with things but I had hoped overnight he may have explored more...
Hi - yes they have a bedroom area which is where he is hiding & a couple of bridges/tunnels.. I'm trying to just leave them to it but I'm desperate to see him come out as I'm worried he will dehydrate! Dexter has eaten all of the morning vegHe's probs lay just a bit scared. I'd just put hay, veg and treats right in the entrance to wherever he is hiding. He will then be able to eat without having to come out. Do you have plenty of tunnels or covered areas for him? He may just feel vulnerable. When I have new arrivals I cover over part of the cage with a fleece or towel to make them feel more secure and put tunnels in so that they can get from one end to the other without having to be exposed in the open. Hope this helps.

Haha will do... I do put some in there but I wouldn't put it past Dexter to have taken it. He's having a great time! He's smaller as well so Sonny obv usually eats well. He's just more shy I think.Just give him some extra cucumber in his bed and distract Dexter (if you can!)
