Whilst cutting her nails we made her bleed slightly,we stopped it with talcum powder and put some micro tape plaster on it,that worked well.

You don’t need the plaster. If you have some cornflour to hand that also does the trick. I also use a tissue and press gently, like you would a human. It does eventually stop.

I’ve nicked Smokey’s nails a couple times because he is much less cooperative than Bacon, all I usually do is press a tissue on it until it clots up a bit, I’ve never cut it really deep though

Thanks for coming back and updating us. Bleeding quicks are quite scary at the time but usually do stop on their own within a few minutes. Cornflour, flour and even a blob of bar soap can all help with the clotting. Glad that all is ok now.
