How do you hold your GP? I'm not sure if i'm picking my Pigs up right..

I put my hand on there stomachlift then a tenny weeny bit.. Slide my hand under so I'm holding them then lift onto my lap.. I'm scared I'm hurting them.. :S Ive heard people saying the guinea should come onto your hand then you pick it up otherwise you will be hurting it.. is that true?

I hold my guinea pig on my lap and pick them up using both hands and grab them underneath their belles and scoop them up under their bums ;D

I put one hand over their shoulders for security and then one the other under their bottom - then hold them against me. The hand over the shoulders is useful when returning them to their cage, when they try to jump in! Also when putting them back in their cage if you put them in bum-first they can't make a leap for it.

Hope that helps!

Just make sure you put your hand under their rear end, so that if they wriggle they wont fall :)
Once your piggle is accustomed to you holding her, she may let you hold her away from your body-some pigs dont like that but most do O0

i put my hand under their bottoms, and the other round their tummy/middle O0

I scoop my girls up with both hands and quickly put them against me so that they are supported. One of the girls when they're finished in the floor play pen likes to be carried back to the cage in one of the cardboard tubes that they play in! 98)
