Sorry this is actually for my rabbit Audrey but I figured you guys might know somewhere anyway :).

Could anyone reccommend somewhere to board my house rabbit Audrey in July for about 8 days please?

I don't mind if its outside accommodation as she'd probably enjoy that but it needs to have an attached run, or time out each day.

I wouldn't advise boarding her somewhere where she stays in a hutch for a couple of hours at a time. For a house rabbit to be put in a hutch it can be quite distressing for them, unless they have lived out side before. Ideally you what to find a place where they will keep her inside or have a shed outside that she can have the run of. :)

I will be willing to assist - but you would really have to help me sort something out hutch/run wise.

I don't think having her inside would be a good idea because our house has a child & 2 cats which she wouldn't be used to. I will keep an ear open for you anyway if it is too hectic here for her.

We have had numerous house bunnies staying with us and they have to be housed in a hutch overnight because I don't have space for them to free roam at night. However, they are either out in a run or free ranging in the shed all day and as yet not one of them has been upset by the process - all have returned for numerous stays and they seem to know when it is "bed time" and quite happily put themselves to bed, often quite literally! Maybe I have just been lucky, but I shouldn't think it would be a problem as long as they have plenty of play time each day.

There is bunny boarding place in Aspley Nottingham its in the yellow pages do not think she has a website though. Just tried to pm you but your inbox is already full will try again later if you want the number.

She was an outside rabbit before i had her and she is not 'free range' in the house when I'm out as she is too destructive- she has a cage with attached run area. She also has regular runs in the garden, so I'm sure it will be ok, but of course not ideal. Unfortunately I am quite restricted to this area as I do not have a car and nobody near by who could look after her....and my current housing situation means that I couldn't have a pet sitter.

Thanks everyone, yes please if you could PM me Pumpkinpiggie that would be great. Thats so kind of you Hils, but I couldn't ask you to do that, I really appreciate the offer though xx

She should be alright then, Ithought you meant she was a proper house rabbit (free range of the house most of the day). :)

i'd love her to be but she is too much of a chewing terror and can't be trusted when I am not around ;D
