Vet thinks UTI as increased protein, blood and specific gravity in the pee sample she kindly gave him while having her bladder palpated. She’s nearly 6 so here’s hoping she’s fine after her Baytril.

Well spotted Janice and good that Holly shared her hidden secret with the vet. My piggies manage usually to hold onto their pee despite the vet's best endeavours. Hope she soon feels better.

Sorry to hear Holly’s a bit poorly. Hope she’s a good girl taking her yucky baytril. Fingers & paws crossed for a speedy recovery Holly. x

Sending healing vibes to the very beautiful Holly.
Not seen any blood spots since yesterday morning but her weight fluctuating. Improved yesterday but dropped 20 g again today.Giving her Critical Care plus Fibreplex twice a day. She’s eating just as well as ever so does anyone have any suggestions?

Hugs to you both, poor Holly.
A bit extra watery food like cucumber to help flush bladder (obviously not to much or she'll have runny poop)?
Syringe extra fluid to flush her out?
A different antibiotic if Baytril didn't clear infection?
Cystease to calm bladder inflamation (peanut had catease from the vet)?

We are currently treating my Bunny for UTI. Same symptoms as yours. Baytril didn't do anything to help her. Try asking for Sulfatrim which is better for UTI. We haven't seen any blood in pee since yesterday after she started in Sulfatrim on Thursday (eventhough it's not clearly an indication there's no blood there anymore, at least the pee is not pink/reddish now).

Thanks I’ll ask the Vet tomorrow about Catease. Doing everything else that you suggested. She’s eating really well and getting Cc and Fibreplex but still losing weight.

Will suggest trying S
