holly has a sore foot

hi all today is a public holiday so no vets grrr.holly is a sow that has arrived here with a massively swollen foot.I have manipulated it and it is full of fluid.The joints etc seem o.k so it is not a break.I am thinking it is possibly a fracture,dislocation or bumble foot in the extreem.the problem is i have only seen a piggy with bumble foot in one toe so am not sure what the whole foot would look like.She is reluctant to put any weight on it
 
Is there any discolouration of the foot? When Pigglywink had her foot infection the entire foot was almost brown, compared to the pink of her other feet, although she didn't have any swelling or fluid build-up in her foot, nor did she have any scabs as shown in the pictures I looked at online.
 
When my piggie had it the footpad became quite painful and the footpad became ulcerated, but I think this would be to the extreme. Chrissie at gorgeousguineas.com has some ointment designed for piggies with sore pads or piggies suffering from bumblefoot. Maybe you could try that. I used it on my sow and it did start to clear however she then passed (old age/arthritis). Hope this link helps.

It could also be degenerative joint disease, a joint infection caused by/made worse by inactivity and poor circulation. I've only come across this on the back feet, with the swelling being at its most 'bulbous' on the hocks, though the entire foot and leg can swell. A vet would need to remove the pus as if you hit a blood vessel, it bleeds a lot. Is there a scab anywhere on the foot?
 
If it is bumblefoot, the foot will be swollen with a scab which is usually on the pad of the foot. It is a very painful condition for the piggy.

It could be hard to treat and sometimes flares up again from time to time. If it is an extreme case, the foot may continue to appear swollen with scar tissue forever.

It would get a vets opinion as soon as possible!
