My shed for my piggies for the winter is arriving this week (very exciting:yahoo:) and it has a window box, I was wondering if there are are any small herbs or plants that I could grow in this window box that the guinea pigs could eat? Thank you!

Coriander would be a great herb to grow for piggies. You could also grow lettuce (just cut the leaves off and leave the root in and they will continue to grow new leaves). These things won’t grow until spring now though.
I grow a lot of coriander just for the piggies!

Just checking, are you piggies already outside? Will the shed have heating/insulation?

my guinea pigs have always lived outside and unfortunately I have no way of bringing them inside, so I am trying to create the next best thing outside! I plan to leave the hutch in the shed full time, and keep that insulated and full of snugglesafes, but also allow the guinea pigs to have the shed floor which will be covered in lino and bath mats!

That’s fine - I was just checking that they weren’t inside and then moving outside at this time of year!
That is exactly what I do. My boys hutch is in the shed full time and they have the shed floor to play in during daylight hours (temperature dependent)

The herbs of ours that survive the best over winter tends to be oregano, thyme and mint. The piggies love all 3 too

Coriander can be fed daily. Mint, I give the the odd few leaves every now and then. I also feed basil, dill and parsley as occasional treats (calcium content is higher on parsley especially) which you can also grow in summer.
Harder leaved herbs such as rosemary, thyme etc should not be fed regularly according to the link below.
