It didnn't go on for very long, maybe 5 minutes or less, it is NOT the small guinea pig as the earlier one, so what is going on here?
They aren't acting sick at all, it is the first time I have heard this one guinea pig make the sound, it is not the same one, this one is also below 1 year of age, months below, so what is this? She coughed at the end, but heart disease is supposed to be uncommon, isn't it? If it was an URI then I don't see on why it would end with a cough, it was the same cough noise that they make while eating, like, all my guinea pigs make it, it's when they choke, so did she just have something in her nose? All of my guinea pigs eats, pees, poops and run like the wind, not weak at all.

By far not all hooting is connected to heart disease; you only need to check if it is persistent or recurring to make sure that you are not missing out on an important angle. My persistent hooter, for instance, was finally diagnosed with chronic lung disease and narrowed airways from a URI that had not properly healed off earlier in her life before she came here.

However, very often it is simply a slightly blocked airway, as in your case, which was cleared again when she coughed if it is just a one-off. ;)
