Hi all !

At my work we have a boy peeg called Butch/Simba (depending on who you talk to: Butch to staff and Simba to the public!)

Anyway Butch from work is intact and was seperated earlier in the year due to him being a bully! He beat up the other 3 peegys in his run and attacked poor little Rodney so much he had to go to the vets! :(

ANYWAY! I feel very sorry for poor Butch as he is on his own and I give him as many cuddles as possible but I would love to bring him home and for him to live happily ever after with my 2 gorgeous girly peegs Pea- chuz and Piepie who can be his wives xoxo. He can be the Henry the 8th of the guinea pig world ...

If I got him castrated would he be suitable to live with my girls? (Obviously if they all get along fine!) Has any one had any past experience with this situation before?

All comments will be greatfully recieved ! Thanks :)

Kelly, Pea- chuz, Piepie and Butch!

Neutering is certainly an option as long as you can find an experienced vet. While only very few boars don't make it through the op, post op complications seem to be not all that uncommon if you look through the forum.

My Hywel (who is now happily living with 8 girls after bullying all boys he'd been tried with) had a narrow escape after developing some rather unusual complications a few weeks after the op earlier this year.

Here is some detailed info about neutering: http://www.cavyspirit.com/neutering.htm

thanks thats a brilliant website ! :)
