Just read this whole amazing story, fudge is such a little fighter, keep it up little piggie!:box:
Don't blame yourself for anything that has happened in the past while, you have been the most amazing mum a pig could hope for!
Tell fudge and crunchie to hang in there, me and my princesses are rooting for you!xx:hug::luv:

They are up and down.. Fudges breathing still hasnt worsened so I'm unsure if her "horrific" sounding chest was actually true or because he jusy hasnt heard a pigs chest that is in heart failure before.. He also said hes never seen a pig over 4 so I'm hoping there isnt deterioration there. I will still have her xrayed consciously tomorrow to be safe.

After that we will be avoiding the vet as much as poss and try to just liase with them over the phone.. I feel being home where she can relax will do her the world of good.

Crunchies eye isnt any worse and her weight (although lower) is stable.

:hug:Glad u have them settled at home again and u sound calmer too! I think u should not read too much into the use of 'horrific' - a very emotive word to use really in that situation. I would just 'deal with what u see' and hope u have a calmer rest of the day with girls

Just catching up on the girls. Please don't blame yourself Adelle. Little Fudge has had such a great life because of you, your piggies couldn't have a more dedicated knowledgeable mum. please let us know how th normal vets goes today. Sending you lots of hugs and thinking of Little Fudge and Crunchie x x

Just speaking to the vet by phone today, shes calling around 12. I dont think fudge is up to the journey.

I'm having to think about her quality of life at the moment.. She has been a very happy girl up until about 2 weeks ago when this all started. I need to start thinking about how much more i am willing to put her through. She is having to be syringe fed again, and i dont feel it is fair if she wont come out the other side.

Will see what her culture results say and take it from there..

:-(

I think the vet most likely had not come across an older pig with a heart issue before so could only compare her breathing to younger healthier pigs, don't torture yourself about it. You know her breathing better than anyone as you look after her on a daily basis.

Hey how fudge doing? Keep fighting through:box: I'll be praying for you and fudge.
