only cos a customer of ours has just brought some lovely fresh mangos

Try a bit and see!

Piggies are OK with a bit of fruit every now and then; tastes vary a lot!

You can try it on the other two! But they may kindly decline, as it's quite strong in flavour. Ripe pear and halved seedless grapes go down well, usually.

Nearly all of my piggies seem to like most fruits, strawberries, grapes, satsumas, bananas, pears and apples are their favourites.

Tried my two with grapes, first wouldnt touch it, then tried again and just messed around with it, and tried again this week and it didnt last two minutes they love it.
And it was the same with apple. keep offering little bits if they dont like it at first it seems they need a little time to get used to trying something new! lol

Mine will turn their noses up at most things that aren't green and crispy. Like little children's breakfast cereal tastes... if it don't snap, crackle and pop, we're not eating it, lady!
You can tell when they're disappointed -- they sniff it (funny little exaggerated head-nods) and look up at you, then go to the other bowl to see if t'other guinea pig has something nicer. Then they nick it -- I don't know why I still insist on cutting their food into equal halves. Each bit passes through both piggies' mouths about 10 times before it's finished.

I know EXACTLY what you mean; so glad that my current lot isn't too fussy about most things - they tend to run off with their fvourite first bits...

Mine love apple and banana not tried any other fruit yet as I don't really like them having it. They get 1/4 apple per week each and 1/4 banana each. I am quite strict with fruit as don't want them to get mouth sores!

tried a nice firm williams pair (Nothing to do with Sophie W)
and they all liked it

only trouble was it attracted wasps

well i am fond of melons

maybe if i like something then i could try the piggies on it

mine are now getting fresh organic

bloke i work with gets an organig fruit basket delivered and cannot hope to eat it all

so i get first dib

today we have carrots
beetroot - not for piggies - thats mine
broad beans

funny how organic generally means un washed

haha i love organic food, unfortunantly with 8 piggies and two ratties its just not affordable,i pay around 4 times more for organic stuff and my veg/fruit bill is already at about 40-50 pounds a week:o

i am indeed lucky as my dad grows lettuice and cucumber too

and most of that goes to my piggies
