COVID-19 How are you occupying yourself during lockdown?

Working today! Lots and lots of work, so much that it makes no difference if Boris lets us out or not, I'm stuck in front of the computer for 6 or 8 hours a day until the end of May probably!

My husband at least will be delighted at being able to go out more than once a day.
Our weekend away at the end of the month is definitely off and it sounds as if our August holiday won’t happen either.
Work will continue in its ‘new normal’ way

I recall that at first you didn't have anything to do, because your students weren't doing anything (?). What's changed since? Sounds pretty fulltime now! 🥵😱

Well all the students were given an automatic 2 week extension on all their coursework... so now my students are supposed to be submitting their last piece of coursework, about 50 have submitted 2000 word reports for me to mark, and another 30 are emailing me every few minutes to tell me why they can't submit their reports yet!
The emails are taking longer to deal with than the reports themselves... amazing how some of them can write so much in an email, if they had written that much on their reports they would be halfway to finishing them!

Did they email you during the two week extension asking for help with any issues?

The more we have extended the school leaving age and increased adult education facilities the older children seem to have become. I wonder at what age people start taking responsibility for themselves now?

For the past 2.5 weeks, we (well mostly me coz hubby has arthritis and can only do so much) have been redecorating the living room. All the walls have been painted (we removed all the wall paper) and only 1/4 of the flooring needed to be done. We removed the carpet and replaced it with vinyl tiles. Easier to maintain. Hopefully I can finish it tomorrow.

I haven't exercised for 2.5 weeks coz I'm knackered by the time I finished the tasks for the day. I'm just thinking what I was doing was all exercise too. 😂😂

And here is when I put back the piggies area. All the flooring that's left to do is where their main cage is. Hopefully the big mat to be put in the middle of the room would arrive next week. Although hearing the sounds of the piggies' steps are so cute! 😂

@PigglePuggle my life seems similar to yours, although I'm not in education. Despite not leaving my house I spend about 9 hours staring at a compute screen. I most definitely work more and turning off is almost impossible. I suppose I shouldn't complain, I don't imagine I would cope not having anything to do and I feel lucky to be able to stay at home. I can't imagine how or when we will go back to work, however in the meantime this new normal is working.

Hope you get all your marking done, :).

I lost count, my head is now burning from too much sun!

Still shielding..meh..doing homeschool with the "wee" one, housework, basically keeping my youngest entertained she is 11, soon to be 12, going into High school and autistic, but we are having fun mainly, bouts of frustration, at times, but the weeks are passing so quickly..I have not been out since end of March..I have done a few dodgy haircuts also...never again :(

My eldest had her 18th birthday the other day..so I baked a "cake" (only had plain flour and meh..well) I am glad I hoarded balloons and wrapping paper etc! She is looking forward to end of lockdown to get to the town, and the pubs and clubs for a meal and drinks of course with her pals..meh she coped well with me and her sister! The guinea pigs get us through..they have been spoiled..10kg of harringtons, and a 20kg hay bale..we can't get anything otherwise :D The budgie also ended up with 12 boxes of Trill..I think I saved in the long run! :o Frightened to look at my credit card bill :(

Hope everyone else is ok and safe as can be..x
