How big is you're boar? ( weight)

Ive Matthew in my avatar,he weights 1.5kgs.Simon has assessed Matthew for neutering,he is not overweight.but apparently large boars have more risk factors when neutering.

Yea I have heard from him that the ones he did lose during the op were older bigger boars. 1.5 is a big boy, is he part cuy?
 
No,he hasn't any cuy in his hereditary.he is a Lunkarya breed..!I've 2 boars that weight 1.5 and 1.6 kgs . Just more to cuddle.;):):):)
 
I've got 6 boars ranging from 1kg up to 1.2 the youngest is the heaviest! The lightest is Peanut who has never regained the 150gms he lost in the summer when he had a bad reaction to his operation and/or meds.
 
My Bruno is 1.9kg (I asked the vet when we went in if he’s overweight because he’s such a big boy and they said he was fine) super big agouti, then my little ridgeback Ozzy is 1.6kg
 
My Rocky was 1342g this morning. He once weighed 1400g a few weeks ago and I was worried! Well, it turns out he's just full of water and poop! 😂 I don't think he's fat though coz he keeps on running around the living room.
 
I have boars of all different weights. Quite a few are big chunky lads! My lightest is Hamish who is very old and frail (900g), next come the athletic ones Rupert & Algernon at 1.2kg, Fernando & Barnaby are 1.3kg, Herbie & Harry are 1.4kg and longhaired Sheltie Claudio “the baby” has grown to be a ginormous 1.5kg. I like to think some of Claudio’s weight is hair. 😂

They all get the same amount of food as I measure it out equally so I think the variety in weight is down to genetics and what suits their frame.
 
Our largest boar was Eddi at 1.2kgs.
Currently Harry is 1.1 kgs and that is a pretty stable weight for him.
Our biggest piggy was a girl (Oreo) who weighed 1.4kgs at her heaviest!
 
Digby is almost 1.6kg, he's the biggest here :) Smallest full grown boar is 890g which is Yoshi. He's not skinny, just a small slender boar bless him.
 
Right that's it, I'm buying a capybara and posting his weight here 😉

I honestly thought around 1.5kg was tops for a guinea pig, not just boars, but I just love a big old boar
 
Jake was, I think, around 1.4kg. He was a solid chunk of guinea pig, lol. Comet was around 1.1, 1.2kg and Blitzen was around...1.1kg, I think, but he genuinely felt like he weighed barely over 200g.
 
Our boars vary vastly in weight,

Uno about 8 is maintaining a good 1kg
Chilli about 5 1/2 is the big boy of our lot at a whopping 1.6kg
Dexter & Ollie (brothers who have separate cage mates) 4 years and both 1.2kg
Last but not least Hamish our youngest 18 months is still growing and is presently 950gms ..
 
Bill is 1280 gms today! Poor Ted is only 1260 gms at the moment
 
I have just weighed Harold this morning and he has gained again 😕 he's now 1645g he is on a diet of grain free pellets and very select veggie treats, but he has suffered a loss so I'm just pleased he's doing ok! I'm hoping my scales are accurate 🙄
 
Dobbins was up over 1300g at one point, but he's dropped back down. After some occasional changes to his diet, he's now holding steady around 1116g. Oti is much smaller, holding around 986g.
