As a lot of you may know, I have spent the last week building a 4x2 c&c. My question is how can I be of most use, fostering or adopting 2 piggies? I also have an indoor cage which would be suitable for one piggy in an urgent situation. I already foster pups for a rescue and the piggies will be kept seperate in our room. So come on peeps, opinions most welcome :)

However many we take into rescue there will always be piggies needing homes. I would say adopt 2 already in a rescue and make room for the next two that are waiting to come in :) That way you are helping to keep things moving and will let two more into rescue as well as giving some the stability they deserve :)

Thank you for replying Karen :) Would I still be useful to be an emergency foster for a piggy (can you tell I love fostering?) Anyone else have a view :)

Where are you? I have 4 piggies of my own - and am currently fostering 5 boars - 2 pairs and 1 single for Sokel Guinea Rescue. We have lots more coming in over the next few days so I will be taking quite a few minis.

I think its such a rewarding, satisfying thing to do. I just love fostering.

maybe you could adopt two yourself and then later you could think about fostering 1 or 2? :)

Hi Hels,
I am based in s.staffs just outside wolverhampton. I lurvvvvvvvve my fostering, seeing an animal come in frightened and lost then going out confident and happy gives me the biggest warm feeling I can't even describe :)

Great isn't it - I always say to Graham (Sokel) I just love the challenge - I have two very timid boars who are coming along nicely and feed from my hand and talk to me constantly and two 9 week old babies, again very timid who flew round their cage when they arrived but now I can put my hand in and stroke them - it just makes my day.
Check them out on the rescue section I put pics on a couple of days ago.

Adorable - all of them.............. :smitten:

Awwwww Helen they are :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: I can't ever imagine not helping animals, I just love them toooo much (prefer them to humans ;D)

Then it sounds like you already know the answer and fostering is for you LOL! Just remember that pernmanent homes are impoortant too, we can't rescue if no one rehomes :)

That is very true Karen :) That is probably why I have my own babies but also foster too :)
