HI! Please have them seen by a vet; that looks rather nasty! It could be a bite, in which case you may need an antibiotic, but it could also be the beginnings of ringworm, which is sadly anything but rare in stressed or shop bought piggies.

Which gender is your trio and how much space have they got?

They are all boys 4wks old all came from my sister he has kept 2of them n there mum n dad do you think I should move that one from the other 2x n thanks for replying back to me x

It depends very much on your sister's arrangements. I dad neutered or is he living separately with any more boys? I would however still have your boy vet checked and then make any plans.

We recommend 2x5 ft space for 2 boars and 2x6 ft for three boys so the have got a chance to get away from each other, especially when they hit the teenage hormones between 4-14 months old. All piggies need to establish or re-establish the hierarchy in new surroundings.

If there is a risk of ringworm, then it would advisable if both you and your sister dealt with the disinfection etc. as the actual infection predates the arrival (the incubation period is 10-14 days). Sending the boy back without a diagnosis could mean that more piggies could get infected.

What gender are her two babies? if they are both sows, they can stay on with mum without problems.

Dad can be neutered by a good vet (important to cut down the risks) and join mum and any daughters after a 6 weeks wait until he is 100% safe.
Alternatively, he could be introduced to his problem son once you are sure that there is no problem and live with him separate from any sows, ideally either at a distance or above the girls because of the pheromones.
Thirdly, if dad and son don't hit it off (it can happen), they can be bonded with suitable and character compatible rescue boars at one of our piggy savvy rescues under expert supervision; you only come home with a boarmate if the bonding was successful and do not risk ending up with two boars that won't get on.

A) boys need to be separated at three weeks old anyway, as they can make babies from that age onwards.
B) Once the babies are weaned, they lose the special protection are firmly put at the bottom of the hierarchy. That is what you see as "having a go at". it is simply dominance behaviour and it is perfectly normal. Guinea pigs live in a strictly hierarchical society. You will see dominance behaviour with every bonding you undertake; piggies just don't move in with each other. ;)
C) If you introduce, you will need to follow these tips. We also provide a list of which behaviours are OK and which aren't. During an introduction, you have to tolerate mild and medium aggressive behaviours. Little baby boys are not being attacked.

I would be a good idea if you could invite your sister to join the forum heself, so we can help her to find the optimal long term solution for all her piggies.
