Thanks for all suggestions etc (even the rounded corner rat cage above) but in the end I bought a Nemo 4, with a Nemo stand - I had to phone 4 branches before I found one selling the stand. The other branches had not been able to get the Nemo 4 stand for a loooong time and though there was manufacturing problem.
Now my problem is - as stated in the Behaviour section - the bold one is persecuting the timid one with nips/bites etc - it got really bad yesterday.
We put up the Nero cage and they went wild running round and round it, but then the perscution started again after a while so I took the large yellow bedroom part out and put a pigloo in, instead, they seemed to prefer that as they could run around it.
Gave them both a seperate pigloo/hiding house thing so they could sleep seperately if necessary.
I cannot afford (having recently bought outside hutches and runs etc) to buy another cage to separate them. What to do? They are only 3 months old.
