Hi

Today we have spent the day fitting the suites into our piggie palace.
Two Questions I need help with;

1. How high can piggies jump?
2. Do they feel safer with a roof over their head?

All opinons will be greatly received :)p

Piggies can jump on anything they can put their front paws on (which is about 8 in).

They feel safer with a roof over their head; I have given over part of my cage for a two story snug which is 15-20 cm (6-8 in) high and a much beloved sleeping "set" for my tribe. It echoes what a group does in the wild - if they come across a burrow or set, they will use it. Any squeeze makes them feel safe. But as guinea pigs are territorial roamers, they do not build sets themselves.

PS: they also like to sleep on and underneath the ramp, so I have padded these one piggy snugs with cuddle bags.
