Hey just wanted to make sure everyone was doing ok with the fireworks and bonfires. Hope the aren't causing too much trouble :...

I have just had to run my rabbit inside grrrr people don't half start early do they, the sun had just gone under the horizon and people have started. I was setting up the dog pen for Rosie and there were a couple of people that had set off some small ones in the distance but she wasn't bothered by them and was pretty chilled out until

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

Someone just up the road had decided to let off some huge rockets first time grrrr How about starting off with little fireworks that don't make much noise/pretty much silent and then build up to the big ones! But oh no not them obviously. Poor Rosie didn't know what was going on :( I ran her inside and put her into the dog pen and she seemed to be ok after a few minutes and started to check out her home for the night.

How is everyone else doing? Hope yours aren't as bad :( xx

Ive moved Mojo and smudgy into a dark room and put towels over the cages and it has seemed to have calmed them down
Rex couldn't be to fussed about them.
The fireworks are annoying me though as I'm trying to concentrate on work but procrastination has kicked in

I hate fireworks and I think they should be banned! My poor pigs won't even eat their dinner, they are too busy hiding from all the noise. Grrrr.........grrrr

My piggies all seem normal but have Milo out for a cuddle he Brrrr's at every bang bless! x

I always worry how dangerous they are :( I have heard stories about kids chucking fireworks through peoples windows and letter boxes because they are complete $%&*# :x

I think they should only have professional showings on bonfire night (or the competitions in summer here in Plymouth) and stop selling them to people. That way only one night has fireworks and people can prepare and they are in specific areas so you know you won't suddenly have fireworks going off in your garden because people aren't nice enough to let you know you are having them grrrr

The girls and Fin seem to be fine for now, they've had their veggies and they are all lying in their beds with chicken legs poking out :) i've put some music on now anyhow so they wont hear them. My OH does play a lot of video games (it's his job to make them rolleyes) so i guess they are used to a lot of noise! He's a noisy boy too mallethead

Clearly I have stupid pigs!

Every bang here is met with popcorning and wheeks from Jeff, Cameo and Boxy rolleyes

Big Dave is just eating his way out of a pile of hay completely unphased, and is occasionally joining in with Boxy's popcorning in the form of a bouncing pile of hay! :))

I'm actually wondering if its because my kitchen door bangs when it closes and they think food is coming rolleyes

BLIMEY! the neighbors have done it again grrrr set off about 20 odd huge rockets out of the blue. Made me jump out of my skin I thought they were going off in the room with me. I thought people were supposed to be courteous and let people on their street know they are doing them :(

I might put a radio in with Rosie and McMac. They are in the garage which has pretty thick walls and fire doors but the garage door is only your basic metal thing (but you can only hear stuff when its directly infront of it) so I am hoping that the other walls are keeping a majority of the sound out :/

Aww haha well at least they are doing ok and not being frightened :)

Strangely (but luckily!) none of my animals are bothered - the dog's aren't fussed either! One of them has done gundog training though, and the other just sleeps rolleyes

:( hope they're ok. I'm sure they will run out of them soon - they cost a fortune so they can't have too many! :)

the piggies are fine with them- they are inside, our dog is alittle bit unnerved, following me about, no doubt i will be standing in the garden later with her trying to get her to do her last wee before bed!

I'm lucky to be honest, we're very remote and fireworks are frowned on as they scare the local wildlife and sheep etc. we did it any years ago and paid the price so no one ever does it now. :(|)

My dog has been going crazy. She is naturally a bit hypo and crazy now and again but these fireworks are sending her over the edge. We have given her some tablets designed to help chill her out but I don't think they have worked lol

I checked on Rosie and McMac and they seem ok. When the big bangs go off they go a little wide eyed but they are both laying down and keeping quite chilled out so I guess they are doing ok :)

And yeah I do hope they run out, it really did scare me :red haha

Fred is on Valium :)) not due to the fireworks though.....:(|)

He was given Valium today for his dental tied in well with the fireworks.

My girls are extremely chilled out but they are inside and have plenty of hay and treats to keep them occupied. Unfortunately I have 3 very frightened cats, all hiding and hating the noise. We have a couple of stray cats in the area and I tend to worry about them at this time of year, one of them though has managed to sneak in and hide on the book-shelf which is fine unless the OH finds out, although I think tonight he will make an exception as to allowing him in.

both guinea pigs are fine not bothered at all about noise my next door neighbur is letting of lots of fireworks but bud and smokey are quite happy eating

Aww I would let a stray stay for the night as long as he where behaved. Poor things :(

Well its good to know peoples piggies are ok :)I'm sure being inside is the best right now x

Noone is bothered here. The piggies think it's Christmas as I've given them a pile of the chinchilla's western Timothy hay each. The chinchillas are both fast asleep but since they're both teenagers they've been through a good few bonfire nights.

In my experience if anyone's going to freak it's going to be the degus, but Radar my little 3 legged fella couldn't care less either - he's too busy trying to scrounge treats off me.

I took in mine before it got dark, i just find the fireworks annoying :{

Actually Stella's not that happy. I got her out to give her furosemide and she was flinching a bit with the bangs. That said she's still out munching on the hay so I'm sure she'll be fine.

Misty is completely unfased. I think like GP<3 she is used to OH playing games on computer! :)) Toffi and Puck are not bothered either, so all ok here.
Did have an internal firework though - our TV fizzed, banged and went out! :( I think it's dead, it smelt of smoke and everything :( The worst bit was that I was in the middle of watching Merlin!
Bother :(

I've just moved my ten inside, well about three hours ago. Archie and Pearl are chilling out on the sofa and all the guineas are wheeking away in the kitchen. I miss having them inside so much. 8...

All our piggies are absolutely fine, munching away and keeping look out:) Although Snowball is deaf so can't hear a thing!

Our doggy gets pretty stressed though:(

Awww I hope those that are a little unsettled by all this are better by later on in the night, if not, tomorrow :) <3

And aw noes D: TV burn out are the worst, especially in the middle of something. I watched Merlin the other week for the first time and got quite into it :)

Our dog Willow is much better now the tv is on pretty loud :) she's also playing with Jakey pup now which she was too stressed to do earlier on.
Piggies don't mind them at all, they are tucking into their food.

Winston and flinn are a bit quiet and sticking close to each other but Fuzzy & Tyler are completely un fazed, completely chilled out, chicken legs and all! :))
