Hi guys another question...

How long do you think before i start to handle them. Everytime i walk in the room they run and hide is this normal for a couple of days.

How should i handle the initial session because to be honest they wont even come out of their little hiding spot hahaha :)) i cant even seen them. i can hear a little cuckoo noise every now and then.

Mine still hide from me! I have to chase them a bit to catch them but once I do they will sit nicely (I got my first two on 3rd Aug 09 and they were about 6wks old, and the other four were born 17th Nov 09).

They will get move brave and come out of their hideys. You could try to pick them up now but if they start to get stressed, I'd leave it a little longer.

I fed mine through the bars (bits of cucumber etc) to tease them out a little. I also put food in my palm and held my hand very still on the floor of the cage. They eventually came to me for a little bit of food, which they grabbed and ran off with! This is also how I was bitten, but not in a nasty way, just because they mistook my hand for the food.

I must admit I'm not very patient, All my piggies do run from me when I want to catch them I'm yet to meet a piggy that doesn't run. When I shout them for food they all run over to me, so I know they aren't scared but they still don't like being picked up! rolleyes!

thanks guys i might have a little try tomorrow i dont want to upset them though. I just feel like i avnt seen them since i got them hahaha. they have been coming out because iv noticed they have ate their nuggets when i have been shopping. the cheeky little moneys x)
