If they have plenty of hay, fresh water and about a spoon of pellets daily, would going without vegetables for one or two days cause any big issues?

The reason piggies need veggies is for vitamin c as they cannot produce this themselves.

When I’ve had poorly piggies with bloat or similar we have withheld veggies for a couple of days but that is on health grounds, and I have needed to supplement with vitamin c supplement but that is far from ideal.

Do you have problems getting veggies? Or is there some other reason?

I was out of town for a day and my mom forgot to give my piggies their daily vegetable share (they didn't have any veggies for 30-ish hours) so I was wondering if this could lead to any problems.

I bet they were pleased to see you when you got back then - especially if you came in with the veggies! We are basically buying love but I don't care 😅

Tonight I was running the kitchen to fill the kettle tap and the girls went crazy with squeaking... they thought I was washing veggies. Even George joined in although by now he knows the tap runs for lots of reasons but he just got so carried away that I ended up giving everyone extra pepper anyway!
