how long do you have your piggies out of the cage?
we have an indoor run at the moment and i love putting them in and watching them when i've got the time
i usually put in a bowl of veggies and a tunnel of some sort
how long is ok to have them out for?
I'm paranoid about them needing a drink
well i take mine out daily for an hour or two. usually i give them some food and a few things what might interest them in being active.... i'm sure their fine. My guineapig don't drink much.... i'm not sure many pig drink much ;D ;D
what ever the piggies are happy with, there is no set rule. perhaps hook up some water bottles to the run or water bowls in for them. or wash veggies and leave water on them. sometimes my piggies will drink heaps other days hardly any like people it depends on how they feel. some people leave their peoples out all day in the run and back in the hutch at night. if they get tired in the run they can have a sleep in there. sending hugs :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*
Mine drink a lot but luckily I can attach their water bottle to their run as I'm paranoid that they're going to dehydrate within the space of an hour! :
I've found the same, if I let the girls in the outside run and attach a water bottle they dont seem to touch it. However I expect if I didnt, they would want it. 98)
Mine have free roam of the house whenever I'm home - I created a ramp to make it easier for them to get in and out the cage. They're based in my dining area so I put toys/tunnels etc out for them to play amongst. When I'm cleanng their cage out I make up a play pen area for them to go in which I keep them in for a couple of hours as I have one guinea pigs that never leaves the cage unless I make her - she's very lazy!
