Lightning has been having 0.14 ml of metacam am since Tuesday morning, after getting a lump removed from her back under GA Monday. SInce the op she's been eating and happy and her wound looks great. Her post op checkup isn't till Saturday. Wondered whether to keep up the meds. Post op meds make me feel :vom:

Hi! Is that cat or dog metacam (which is three times stronger than cat metacam)? In either case, it is a very low dosage; in the case of cat metacam it would be so low as to be ineffective. Guinea pigs have a much faster metabolism than cats or dogs, and their kidneys also deal with it a lot better, so they need 12 hour intervals and higher dosages.

Glad that the op has gone well and that your piggy is doing well.
