How many incontinence pads needed for a c&c cage?

Hi i was thinking of buying some for the boys c&c cage when i make it, but was wondering how many would i need for a 2 x 4 cage?

It also depends on who you buy them off as to what size they are.

I think i shall be ordering some soon if the fleece change over keeps going well. :))

Which ones do i need? I was thinking of getting the amazon ones.
 
I bought some puppy training pads, 4 for £1 in my pound shop so I bought 3 packs. They aren't huge but perfect for my boys sleeping area. :)

Mine is 2x4 too but I only put the one in at every change.
 
In my cage (2 x 4 size) you'd need 1 and a half but I don't think you can chop them in 2.

Glad the fleece is going down well!
 
I got 2 packs of 5 puppy pads from Poundland to try - Id put Monty on my bed in his cuddle cup today whilst I was cleaning his cage out and his cage takes 1 and a 1/2 pads so 2 are in, still got a layer of paper at the base but dont think I need that really. Have got some carefresh and paper bedding to try but long term may move to fleece. Could order more megazorb but think thats more for the outside hutches?

Trouble is Monty must of moved the cuddle cup off the pad Id put on my bed any yes one nice big wet patch on the duvet:)) more washing for me!
 
I have got puppy pads under the fleece now and i put them the wrong way! mallethead But now they are the right way. :)) They seem ok but i think they will work out expensive in the long run.

I think i will buy the incontinence pads as they are more economical and should work out cheaper in the long run as i have put in 3 puppy pads at the moment and with a bigger cage i will be using more.

Thanks for the info everyone and thanks Lisa for the link, shall be getting them. But what do you do with the wings/flaps?

Ive used megazorb in the piggys cage indoors and it was ok. They did flick bits out but they seemed happy with it. Ive still got some left so will be putting a little bit in their litter tray and keep the rest for the outdoor hutch for the summer.
I didnt find it smelled but it did have an odd smell and i knew it was in the house if you get what i mean.rolleyes

ok,it's babys' bed protectors. like disposable changing mats? they seem reasonable, especially if you can get them on offer. i could keep an eye out for you at morrisons and let you know when they're on offer if you like?
 
I used those a few times (they worked great) but am preferring that I just have to wash these and use again.
 
Thanks for that Claire but i think I'm with Lisa on re-using the inco pads, but i know what to get if i run out of puppy pads while waiting for the inco ones. :)
 
definitely 4, although you will have an overlap. With 4 you can have 2 on and 2 in the wash.

I know I am repeating myself from other threads, but these are the ones I bought:

are those ones good as I'm considering getting them when i have some spare cash.do they wash well without being ruined?
 
if you have a layer of fleece over the top they will be fine! you can also bleach them if they get stained... They wash them in care homes over a couple of hundred times! Just don't use softner as that will ruin them!
