When I got my little boy I was told he was about 8 weeks old. He is very skinny, I can feel all his ribs etc. I just weighed him and he was 450g. How much should he weigh at this age and how can I fatten him up?

Apologies if this question has already been answered on another thread.

Minnie was 413g at 10 weeks and was fine. It would depend how big the little fellow is. Do you have a photo?

The weight is not bad for an eight weeks old - it depends on whether the age is right and how big he is.

Ok thanks. I was just worried as he seems so skinny. Here's a photo, I put my phone in for a comparison (phones about 3 inches long).

Its not the best photo but he's very wriggly rolleyes

It's not what he weighs, it's what condition he is in e.g an 8 week old could weight less than that but still be healthy, if he was a smaller sized pig. If he feels boney (ribs, hip bones) or looks kind of sunken underneath, that may suggest he is on the light side. Weigh him regularly now to check he is gaining weight. How long have you had him?

Yeah I can feel ribs and hip bones easily. I've only had him since yesterday morning, so he hasn't had much time to fatten up yet. He is eating well though, so hopefully he'll put some weight on quite quickly now he has proper food and veggies.
