How much water is too much ?

didn’t know where to put this thread so i put it in food!
i’m not necessarily worried or concerned about this it just kind of shocks me .
so basically i have 2 boars and so i put in 2 320ml bottles for them and change them daily . in one day my boars drunk a whole bottle . 2 pigs drunk 320ml ! is this normal ?

If you're worried your piggies are drinking excessively, a vet check is the best thing to do. If they are eating a lot of hay (which they should constantly be doing!) and havent had much watery veg they might drink a lot. Also some piggies just play with their water bottle spouts a lot to make a rattling sound but a lot of the water dribbles on the floor rather than being drunk. And some piggies drink more than others, both my big floofy abyssinian lady and my baby skinny pig drink a lot of water, some of the others hardly ever seem to drink much. Piggies also seem to choose a favorite water bottle location, my herd of 6 all liked one location so much I changed my 320ml bottle to a 600ml bottle because they were emptying just that one in about 6 hours and ignoring the others!
If your piggies seem otherwise healthy and you rinse and refill your water bottles daily (or more often if they get emptied fast) and give the bottles a good clean at least once a week its probably just something to mention at their next vet check.

ok thank you ! they are eating a lot of hay and i normally have to refill their hay-holder about 2-3 times a day which explains it slightly . they do have some watery veggies but not the watery-est of veggies (if that makes sence lol) so that could explain it . also for some reason they only drink from one bottle even though i check a few times a day and it does work lol !
