Morning all
I weighed celery on the 16th November and she was 1373 grams. I weighed her today 30th November and she is 1351 grams. I understand weight loss is the first sign that something is wrong but how much weight loss is it to be to be concerned about?

I not sure what the official amount is, but I don't thing 20g is enough to worry about. It could be the difference between a full or empty bladder. Perhaps just repeat the weighing in a couple of days just to keep an eye on it.

I would suggest if you are concerned, weigh your guinea pig at the same time daily for the next few days and look at the difference in weight. This will give you an idea about normal fluctuations in weight from day to day. Just like any living thing, including us, it depends on when you weigh them and their weight will naturally go slightly up and down,depending on how hydrated they are. 20g is not anything to be concerned about yet. It is only if the weight loss continues then this would raise a concern. You will more than likely weigh him again and he will have put the weight back on, but make sure you weigh him at the same time each day to get a more accurate reading. Just like us, we can weight slightly less first thing in a morning and more in the evening. At over 1300g already, he seems quite a healthy weight. Just keep a weight log for the next few days and you will then see by how much his weight varies from day to day. It will also give you a baseline from which to work, if in the future he does become unwell.

The rule of thumb is:
30g = 1 oz is daily variation due to full/empty bladder/tummy. See a vet if the down trend continues.

50-60g = 2 oz be alert, give your piggy a thorough once-over, monitor the eating patterns, look at the poos for any changes. See a vet if you can see something obvious wrong or if the weight loss continues on the next day. Start weighing daily at the same time in the feeding cycle in order to get comparable results.

100g = 3 oz see a vet asap.
If the weight loss has happened overnight, then the piggy hasn't eaten or drunk within 24 hours. You need to hand feed and hydrate immediately and see a vet as an emergency.
Also see a vet if the weight loss has been very slow and gradual.
