Just wondering as the last time I took mine was nearly 6 months ago for a nail trim and check up. They didn't even need them trimming in the end but at least they had a check up. They're run is on concrete so they're nails have trimmed down themselves. Touch wood, there is nothing wrong with them but not sure if they should just have a check up or something :-\

i take mine to the vet if i think there is something wrong with them. xx

I don't take them for routine check ups unless they're old / poorly, otherwise they just go when they've got something wrong. Moomin went 4 times in 3 weeks recently - all the vet staff know her now!
But some of my others have never been.

Only if they are ill and I can't deal with the problem myself - my piggies don't have a good record with vets - many are too quick to pump them full of antibiotics rather than work out what the problem is! >:(

When they are ill or something doesnt seem right, or if i ever have my doubts :)

same here, when i notice a change in behaviour or notice something is not right. some see a vet and others don't, jessie has only been to the vet for check up when i first got her and as a companion for zoe when zoe had the surgery. yet zoe has been to the vet a lot O0

I only take them if they arey ill. But they do get very regular check ups by my best friend when she visits me she likes to give them a cuddle ;D so checks them at the same time ;)

i only take them when theyre ill too. i check them over pretty much every day myself

I took Merlin when I first got him for a once over and to get him registered

Now it will be whenever he is under the weather

Only when they are under the weather. I deal with the nail trimming myself and the vet gives me the Baytril and Ivermectin to inject into them.
Bunnies go once a year for they annual injections, and when they are under the weather.

Pigs dont need to be injected, its less painful to use oral or spot ons :)

Mine have never been to the vets as they have never been ill (fingers crossed). I do the nails myself (horrible job) and there is no real need for check ups I don't think.

I probable go once a year, and that is normally for my darling cloud with an eye injury ::)

I've only taken mine to the vets once because Jessie had mites but it was only her as i didn't have my other girls then, i trim there naisl myself so need to go :)

I go every three weeks :o but that's only cause he needs a toofie trim done each time, he also has his manicure and pedicure done by them too ;D
Otherwise i would only do so yearly for a poop check and a general check to make sure all was well... O0
