How often to switch edible things?

My girls have edible houses and such..how often should I buy new ones? I mean they will become gross after a while of chewing on them.

What kind of edible houses?

If they are only chewing them they should be fine to stay until they're mostly eaten (:))) but if the pigs can pee on them then I wouldn't leave them too long at all...
 
Its those edible houses of wood, not the hay, in different colors with tropical taste or something! They love to chew on them.

I have one big and one small one and you can basically shape them the way you want.
