Do i give my new piggy veg he is only about 7-8 weeks old and i wa told to only give him veggies 2-3 times a week as he only has a small stomach cuz he is so young.
Is this true?

I don't really know much about really young piggies but I'd think that little bits every day would be better; Rather than just a few times a week.

I'd imagine that if you feel small portions is right for now, then try and spread it out so he has a bit every day.
I just think your piggy might enjoy it more.

Don't count on me, though. Wait for someone else to come alone cos I might be wrong.
But I can't see any harm in it.

I hope someone will yell at me if I'm wrong :x

Put enough food in with him, everyday, then he will eat what he wants, when he wants and the quantity he wants.

id feed it in small portions and introduce new veg that he hasnt had very slowly of he will get the runs, the rspca should be able to tell you what veg he has had xxxxxxxxxxxx

very usefull thread, i had my piggies friday and have only gve them veg once as i was told the same(i would gve them the runs). saying that though, i gave them carrot and they havent eaten it- maybe I'm gunna have fussy piggies! they munched on alot of grass yesterday though.is it okay to put a bit of grass in there pot for them aswell? gemx

I give mine fresh veggies in the morning and in the evening and none of them have the runs. 2 are young ones one of them 7 weeks. I did start the smallest one slowley in a different cage, still twice a day but only a little bit each time.

As soon as mine hear the clink of their veggie bowls they wheek like mad, they love it.

I would try some every day and then give a bit more as they get bigger.

I give a few types of veg as they don't like everything, one likes one thing while another likes something different. Spring greens are a BIG favourite here along with coriander and basil.

got mine at 7 weeks and have always fed veg twice a day in morning and at night and got bowl of dry food and hay every day and run in pen for fresh grass if raining i pick grass and put in pen for them

Thanks guys that really helped I'm still not sure on what veggies to give him, as the rspca wasnt sure on what he liked?
