We went out with the kids and found this tiny little girl, they tried to tell me she is 6 weeks old but I do not think so, she is the size of Honkey when I got him...
She is now in my spare cage and is called Pandy, as they had called her Cruella De'vil

Aww gorgeous. Hmmm 200g? That's very light isn't it? Eccles (who I got from a vets) was 450g when I got him at 6 weeks old. I don't think you can tell ages from breeds though. Some pigs are naturally tubier than others. My two sow sisters are the same age but 100g difference in weight. She is stunning. I can see why they called her Cruella though, with the wavy hair, still what a nasty name, she is too gorgeous for that! :smitten:

she is stuning :smitten: Sephy wasnt much bigger than that when i got her, she was nearer 300g but looked similar in size and was very boney, she was the runt of her litter. Maybe that was the case? She is very small indeed though, doesnt look as though she should be away from mum :(

I said to the woman she should not be away from her mum and she said well they told me she is 6 weeks old! Hence why she is here. Kids can not wait to move so we can have more pets....

Haha your getting like me and wanting an Ark full! I'm sure with your love and kindness she will pile on the weight! Eccles is now 4 months and is around the 900g mark. I wasn't convinced that he was 6 weeks old I think the vets lost all track of time, understandable when you are busy I guess. :)

;D looking at what you did for Honkey she will be chunky in no time! Honkey is such a gorgeous boy :smitten:

I hope she has a personality like Honkey, everybody who meets him loves him, he waits for everyone to pass to stop and stroke his head and then you have to do chins.

She looks like a little Texel, definately possibly younger than 6wks old but weight is nothing to go by. If there was a big litter then she might not have been fed properly or could have a medical problem as to why she is small. I would imagine she could be closer to 4 weeks and if she isnt being nursed by her mother some pet shop suppliers will sell them on.

Emma x

Awwwwww :D shes a beauty definitely looks like a texel :smitten:

found lice (not static) on her earlier so it is a trip to the vets tomorrow, she has not been near any of our other piggies.

awww shes sooo cute! weight can differ quite a lot so i dont think thats a good indication like my archie is just over 4 months and her around 850g yet meeka is 1yr and 3 months old in feb and shes 570g, they were inbred so maybe meekas weight has something to with that but her brother duke is around the 860g mark..

It depends on how many were in the litter really, this can influence size, her coat looks the right length for a 6 wheek old in my opinion. She's gorgeous :)

TBH she does look 6 weeks to me because of the length of coat O0

Prob just a 'runt' or was a small litter :)

If she has lice, then coudl be otehr things wrong, so best get her to a vet asap :)

I'd go to the vets anyway with her, but treatment for lice on baby piggies can be sorted out if you email Chrissie (at GG) let us know what treatment the vet recommends anyway!

awwwwwww she's tooo cute :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Good luck at the vets with her, poor little one i'm glad she's going to be with you all :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

sooooooooooo sweet! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

She was from a litter of 7, the woman who I got her from offered to treat Pandy herself and I refused, I did tell her to check all her pigs. well I am please to say she is healthy and has had her first treatment for lice.
I am keeping her on fleece due to her coat and she has not been in contact with any of my piggies, I have been washing my hands between piggies and changing clothes to attend to her and then changing back so I can play with other piggies, I believe prevention is better than cure.
She is the runt but from past experience I have found runts can be more loving, she is such a good little girl, that she will sit on me and stare at me and make sweet little noises, she does not try to run and hide.
She makes my heart melt every time I look at her.

AW she sounds lovely :smitten: so glad she is otherwise healthy! Good luck getting the lice sorted out :) One of mine Sephy, was the runt but she is the most fidgetty and least loving towards humans, i think she was bullied because she doesnt have much left in the ear department and it took her a long time to get to like other pigs ::) still love her though, she is the biggest character :smitten:
