I've started feeding my piggies grass, originally so that they could go on the lawn when it gets a bit warmer without worrying about them getting sick.

I have them more gradually, I now give them a handful each every day that it isn't raining and they really love it.

Is grass ok to be fed most days (I assume the answer is yes, since previously I would let them graze pretty much all day when the weather was good) and when I give grass, should I give them less leafy veggies to compensate or should I just give them grass on top of their standard food intake?

Thank you ❤️

Yes your feeding every day is ok. Build up the amount slowly as you’re doing. When the boys used to spend time on the lawn (summer), I would cut down on the veg I gave them. But I don’t know what other people do.

When I introduce my lot to grass for the first time each year they get 30 mins the first day and I increase it by half an hour each day until they are on it all day. I still give the same amount of veg.

i do the same - give them handfuls of grass and then when it’s warm enough, they’ll go on the lawn for a short amount of time and then I build it up. In terms of veg, when they are on the lawn for longer during the day initially, I might lower the veg amount but by mid summer and they are on the lawn all day (8am-9pm in the height of summer) then they will be used to it so having the same amount of veg as well as grass all day doesn’t upset their tummies.
