I see so many wonderful pigtures on here, it makes me sad because my girls never stay still to get a pigture to show them off properly. Any tips?

I tried distracting them with veggies but they scoff it down quick and has their heads down when I get the camera out haha.

I think it really depends on the piggie. My Mimsi was great at posing for pics and Ive got some lovely snaps of him. On the otherhand, when i try and photo Dalton, I normally just get a shot of his legs running away! Good luck!

It also helps if you have a good camera and know how to use it. If your camera has a sports/action mode or similar, then make sure you use that setting for the best chance of capturing moving piggies. Try to use plenty of natural light wherever possible and take lots of shots to ensure you get at least one decent photo.

I have a DSLR, though I'm still learning how to use it. It gives me some lovely photos when used correctly. Sometimes I only have my phone with me when a photo opportunity presents itself and it's amazing how poor the images are in comparison, regardless of how well I compose the shot.

I find it really shows off a piggy to have a background all one colour. I like coveing my sofa in a plain blanket then putting them on it with a piece of food like a huge carrot.

Alternatively if you have piggies like my Bingo (who is a wriggler extraordinaire and houdini pig!) it may be worth taking shots through the bars of their hutch or cage. Or even having them on somebodys lap or shoulder while you take a pigture.

It's really just practice makes perfect. Good luck!

I take lots of pigtures of my lot, thankfully most of them are too lazy to try running away so I can tickle chins and they are happy to just sit. My little ginger girl Bronte is still only a baby so she tends to try to leg it just as I'm about to snap the photo! rolleyes

I'm sure your piggies will be fine in time, mine are simply used to the photoshoots now! :(|)

Hello, the beauty of digital - no-one sees the many cr*p photos! I have the problem all the time, I don't have posers at all. I only have a sony cybershot camera and it's mostly down to patience. I often lay next to their pen so that I make no sudden moves and they get used to me there!

Also wrapping them in a towel is a way of getting a dual piggie shot!

Good luck, keep trying, seriously I have hundreds I've deleted!
