Rusty had surgery last week and now she's pulling her stitches out. Has anyone been through this before?

I've not had them pulling their own stitches but I've had the other piggies pulling them for them. When Minky had an abscess removed from her neck she had 4 stitches. When I took her back to the vet 10 days later, one & gone & another was almost gone. When Mosey had a cyst removed from her side I saw the other girls pulling at the stitches so I rubbed some Vick's Vapour Rub near them & that seemed to stop it. There's not much else you can do because wrapping anything round the body would just be pulled off.

I was putting ployspoirn(so?) on it (gently!) and it seemed to make it worst! we used to put it on the wounded lump before she got surgery and it seemed to help then, but now it seems to be making it worst.
