My girls had a very successful introduction a couple of months ago, but about an hour ago, I noticed there was a scuffle going on between two of them. Neat was attacking Daisy, and there was a lot of loud teeth chattering going on. I immediately separated them, and have checked them both over for injuries. They both seem ok. I've split the floor-time pen down the middle, and separated the cages back into two, but Neat is still chattering her teeth and snorting at Daisy through the bars. It's obvious this fall out is serious. They are all young pigs, so I guess they're quite hormonal at the moment. I'm going to order some grids so I can set up a c&c, and I'm going to keep them as two groups of two. Not really sure what the point of this post is, except I'm a bit upset for Daisy. She's the sweetest pig of all four of them. This is her.

Give them time to cool down (ideally at least a couple of days and then try intros on neutral ground. See how that goes and take it from there. Sow fall-outs are much less common that boar ones, but they can happen. The teenage months and strong seasons can trigger problems.

Thanks, @Wiebke. For now, I think they might need to not be able to see each other. The layout of my house means it's difficult to completely separate them, so I'll have to use a sheet of card or something to put between the cages.

Don’t panic. Sometimes once they’ve cooled down they can work it out for themselves. I’d suspect a season or an attempt to move up a position in the hierarchy has happened. This may yet sort itself out.

I feel your pain :( Hopefully they will calm down and decide to be friends again. Mine haven't and I'm still so fed up with it all :(

@Eileen's Mum, I saw your thread about possibly getting some boars for your girls. I'm not sure how it's going to pan out with mine, but this may be another option I'll look into. The fight was so aggressive, and that teeth chattering, wow! Because it was completely out of the blue (maybe not for the pigs, but as far as I was concerned) I dived in to separate them without any gloves or anything, which I've since learned was a bit stupid. Luckily, I didn't get bitten. They're all quite subdued now, and not hugely impressed that I've split their living and floor-time spaces.

Sounds just like what mine did. I never knew teeth chattering could be so loud! I now cant have Eileen in sight of Edna or Edna starts straight up with the loud chattering which then causes the other girls in the trio to also start up!

Yes, my two were like that yesterday after they were separated. Given your experience, I'm not confident they'll ever live together again.
