My piggies are outside now in a hutch over a run. It's covered with offcuts of lino to give shelter and shade (although I've had to bring them inside for the past couple of nights what with this glorious summer weather we've been having :-\)
The hutch is looking a bit shabby and I want to treat it to protect the wood & maybe give it a lick of paint. Can anyone recommend pet safe products?
Thanky
Sue
(PS they'll be inside until the hutch is safe to use again and the rain stops! oh and until summer comes 98))

To paint/protect/stain my hutch I used B&Q's own brand wood stain I think, you just need something that will make it waterproof of course and is animal friendly.

I have used cuprinol hertiage shades on my outdoor hutch and run its pet friendly too. It is also odour free :) its touch dry within an hour too two coats gives a good finish too :) cost £7.99 for a small tin in wilco or £14.99 for a large tin

P@H also do a animal safe woodstain, 24 hrs after applied piggies can go back in.
