Background info, my son is in residential therapy and was given a home pass this weekend. He moved in with grandma before he was admitted. Part of that home pass is eyes on him at all times so me and dad (divorced), grandma and step mom were basically there tag teaming all weekend. I just stayed there as it is an hour away and driving is very hard for me with my POTS.

Anyway, peegs have no lid on cage. It is easier for me to clean it that way. Cat is not allowed in their room. I packed up, did my final checks, SAW HIM IN THE LIVING ROOM, then closed the GP room door so he couldn’t get in there. Somehow, he managed to slip in behind me. He was shut in there for three days, no food or water. When I came home and couldn’t find him, I started calling for him and panicking because I dreamt he died. Then I hear desperate mewing…from the GP room!

I rushed in terrified he got hungry and ate them. All three of them came running out squealing for treats. ALL OF THEM ARE FINE. He didn’t eat his sisters. I am so proud of him, but feel SOOOOO very bad. He jumped into my arms clinging for dear life when I got in there. I’ve given him the good food. I’ve not cared that he drank my water. I am not moving as he has been on my lap for an hour meowing at me if I move. I am his slave tonight. He is milking it for all it is worth. I feel so bad and yet so relieved he left them alone. He really is a good boy.

Accidents happen lucky he didn't go for the piggies. A few treats and cuddles and I'm sure all will be forgiven. I hope your son is doing well and the weekend home visit was a success.

I am his slave tonight and he knows it. He just meowed me into opening a brand new bag of kibble because what was in his bowl is obviously not palatable and sinc that cam from the opened bag he will not even touch a refill if the food. LOL

He also weaseled a double portion of wet food out of me.

Kiddo is doing amazing. Thank you for asking. He's been there about 18 months and has really made progress. They are starting the discharge conversation and we couldn't be happier.

That was a miracle. I’m so pleased your cat didn’t get the piggies. I hope your son comes home soon
