I Am Back - Did You Miss Me?!

I am just popping in to say hello.
We have been away for a couple of weeks (and have a 'no time online' rule on holiday), so I am apologizing in advance, as I will probably drag up all manner of old threads and I look back and see what I missed.

But I know what you all really want to know about is the piggies.
They are all fine, and as always the pet sitter managed to do an amazing job with them.
They are a bit skittish tonight as it is a big celebration in Switzerland today (Happy Swiss National Day @Wiebke ) so lots of fireworks going off.

But we are home, and laden down with gorgeous Primark bags for Eddi to sleep in.
Blueberries are at the top of the shopping list for tomorrow.

Thanks - we used to tease our German relations visiting us in summer by calling it the "Swiss Emperor's birthday". :D Sadly for the pets, lots of fireworks, large bonfires on the hills and mountains and barbecues...
I landed in Zurich once in the evening among all the fireworks over the city and lake; that was rather special!

I hope that you have not suffered badly from the big hail storm that has devasted my mum's garden? She had inch sized hailstones falling for quite a long time. :(
 
Happy Swiss National Day, @Swissgreys ! (and @Wiebke ) We have some family friends in Switzerland, as my parents-in-law were stationed in Bern in the 80s. We've visited them a few times when we have been on skiing or walking holidays in the Oberland. It's lovely there. Love to go back some time...

Hope you enjoyed your holiday and that Eddi is not sulking because you've not been there doing your duty recently! (Ours did when we went away for 5 days!)

Glad to see you back! I hope you had a relaxing break and brought back plenty of holiday blueberries for a certain young man ;)
 
@Swissgreys OF COURSE you were missed. I was actually starting to get worried you'd been missing so long and had hoped it was a vacation and nothing unpleasant.

So good to have you back, the forum needs a fresh installment of Eddi's antics and Ruby's roadkill acting photos.

So happy to see you have returned. :hug:
