Since joining this fantastic forum ( the people are as lovely as the Guinea pigs) I've learnt so much from you all, feel like I should have bathed them by now but I've been putting it off, I always thought when they get smelly I'll do it but they've never smelt so now I'm thinking the grease gland probably needs a wash, it feels a bit crusty. I didn't even know about the grease gland until I joined here. I'll probably have to use swarfega.
I will read check the 'stickies' first before doing it.
you're a brilliant bunch 8)8)

No need to feel guilty. Just give them a bath with some gorgeous guinea shampoo and they will smell lovely. :)

I only bathe my piggies about twice a year (longhairs a bit more often).

My X Coronet boys get a bit mucky but find a butt trim regularly helps :))
I only bathe them every 8-12 weeks - they don't smell at all but just keeps their hair nice and soft x)

You really don't need to feel bad, piggies really don't need regular baths. My girls are almost 2 years old and have been bathed just once. They just don't need it anymore often as they are short haired. If you do bath them stay very calm, do everything slowly and stay positive. My girls loved there bath before :)
