I recently lost my guinea pig Lilly Belle due to a huge cancer tumor, and her sister of 5 Years Siddily is acting very strangely. Every time i try to hold her she grunts and runs frantically in circles. She also had surgery for ovarian cancer and is subject to respiratory infections due to a deviated septum and her immunie system. She is always at the Veternarian's office. I do not know if this is grieving and i cannot get her another cage mate for fear of the new pig getting ill. Can anyone help me? I am really worried about Siddily.

First thing is to get her checked at the vets to make sure nothing else is going on. It sounds more like she is really uncomfortable being handled than grieving...

If everything is ok then you can think about getting her a new friend. Even at 5 she would benefit from company.

I will see if we can get admin to move this to a new thread so you get more help... @sport_billy @lisaali

totally agree with @MerryPip

Sorry about the loss of your piggy. Let us know how Siddley gets on at vets, sending lots of healing vibes to her
