Oh, I really don't know what to do :( Poor luigi was attacked by Big Dave again so he's gone to live outside in the hutch. I have 2 indoor cages, both big one's, one for the two girls and the other was for the boys. They got on great at first but now Big Dave keeps going nutty and being really dominant. I have a hutch outside but I really don't like him being out there. I can't fit another cage in my house though! I have really bonded with Big Dave and I'm still helping him feed because of his teeth. I can't really get another piggie for either of the boys, DH would go mental. Are these two never going to get on? i don't want Big Dave to be alone and Luigi is only 10 weeks so i don't want him outside either. God, what a desision I have to make? If I did re home Big Dave I would only let him go to somewhere where he will be properly cared for, not just any old person who has no idea about piggies. I really love this piggie too :(

Can you not get a c and c cage and divide it in half so they can live on either side?

Yes why not? I am sure they could learn to live next to each other if not together. Sorry if this angers you but you say your partner would not let you have another cage and wants you to get rid of dave but why listen to him? He is not the boss of you and you love dave. I would do all I could to keep him and ignore your partner totally. It is up to you.

:)):)) don't worry, I feel the same! I love this little piggie, he's gorgeous and so full of character. c&c cage looks the way to go. I have a perfect area under the stairs which would be big and airy enough to house it. and if I get him to build it he might get more involved in piggie keeping. Luigi is his favourite though!

Well it is great you have an area that would be good to make a c and c cage. I wish I knew about them when I first got guinea pigs so I would not have bothered with a cage.

yeah, me too, I just spent £90 on one a few weeks ago! and only because the cheaper one was TEENY and my hamster would have been cramped in it, never mind a guinea pig! I have like a triangular shaped bit under my stairs. The shoe rack is there right now but those can be moved :)) and it gets plenty of natural light because the kitchen window is opposite

Excatly! I spent £140 on the biggest cage I could find complete with stand and a c and c cage would have been perfect. I cannot even sell the silly thing and it is five foot and in my hall! :))

I think I'm going to end up with the same problem! I have said to many of my friends that my piggies live indoors and they all think I'm mental!?

That just shows they do not know about guinea pigs. It is so old school to think guinea pigs should be in a hutch in the garden and hardly interacted with. A guinea pig is part of your family. Mine are indoors and with me all the time. I hold them everyday and as far as I am concerned they are my family. I love them so much. Any body who does not understand that is missing out on piggy love. :)
