I don’t think I did this right

It’s mainly chasing and talking but I do hear teeth chattering now I’m not sure if to call it and say this piggy is not going to work out or leave them?
I can sleep right next to the pen, but I’m a very sound sleeper. I may have be away from them for maybe 1-2 hours max though

But just a saw a behavior I’m not sure what it means-the new one was nibbling on the one in the middle. It never really caused an issue other than the my existing piggy to make a little chirp and move her head. I don’t see any blood.

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing - this could have been a bonding type of grooming.

Of course it’s rather hard for us to determine from the written word

If you aren’t seeing actual aggression or behaviours in the red zone of the bonding and dominance guide then they need to be left to get through the bonding stages

So I left them overnight and this morning I believe I’m still seeing only mild/medoum dominance-some mounting, did have a few little chases, and that loud squealing that I think is submission squealing and some rumble-strutting. They are all laying down for the most part with small amounts of dominance here and there. Would it be okay now to move them to a clean/rearranged cage-will more than likely be later on today as need to make sure cage is throughly cleaned out? know not to use single hole hidys-is there a point in time when I can again as that is what I mostly own? Again thank you for the advice/answers

Did at first hear some teeth chattering but that one was maybe on episode and they stopped that.

It all sounds good and ok to move them back to the cleaned out cage.

We don’t recommend the use of single exit hides at any point. You will need to buy new ones or use cardboard boxes with holes cut in.

Okay thank you. I have two different things right now for 2 ended hidy huts but can def get more or use cardboard boxes and cut and entrance and extra.

Just to double check the measurements of your cage for four piggies - it would need to be 210x60cm which is 82x24 inches

Also wondering I was thinking of upgrading to a jumbo c and c cage would that be big enough and how sturdy are they as will be on the floor as I don’t have a table for them to be able to on and I will def make sure has a top but I have cats and would like to make sure piggies stay safe from them

Or could I get away with a X-large, so if I order I know how to measure and make sure I have enough room.

Do check the measurements of the cage you currently have as if it isn’t big enough then it can cause issues with their bonding.

So for four piggies you would need a 6x2 c&c cage. That would measure approx 220x77cm or 86x30 inches.

Ideally piggies are kept well away from cats.
