Today I have brought in some herb plants from outside that I bought for my boys to eat. I have potted them and pruned them, now they are in my bedroom next to the piggies cage.

Gave the pigs a few bits off each too, they love it. Sweeney was pop corning all over the place.

Also, I have a bit of a query.
My pigs seem to love attention off my like, me speaking to them or watching them through the cage or hand feeding them, but they do not like being touched whilst they are in their cage, they are bloody hard work to catch, I thought they were like that cuz they were rescued from a family who had bought them for young kids, the kids didn't want them and they never got cleaned out of fed properly, they are lucky to be alive, and Sweeney who was long haired had to be shaved as he was just one big mat, so I thought it was just cuz they weren't used to it, but had them almost a year and they aren't any different, though they are alot better once they are out of the cage, they used to try and run away as soon as you let go now they will actually have cuddles. :) Any thing i can do to help?

Awwww sounds like you have two very spoilt piggies x)

I've got two boys, had them for seven months now, and I have found that all piggies have different personalities (and opinions! ;) ) to being picked up, Artie will give you the run around whereas Harvey will happily allow you to tickle him and ruffle his fur...Have you tried a pet bed or cosy cup during cuddle time, some piggies find it much more secure and comfortable in a cuddle cup, and I always have veggies on hand so they relate cuddles with veggies!

Just keep going with the daily handling and talking it'll get better over time! Good luck :)

Yeah, I used to use a cuddle cup to get them out, but then they started freaking out as soon as it began moving, they are fine as soon as I have actually picked them up, they just give me the run around. And yeah I use veg at cuddle time, that's why they like it now haha.

Tbh, I expected them to be harder work than they are as they were both a state when I got them, they were so skinny, I got so upset when I first saw them. My grandma said no to me getting piggies but it was either leave them or take them, at first I was just fostering them but we fell in love with these boys ha. I can't believe the difference in size between Darken when I first got him to now, he was so skinny and now he's such a chunk. And the difference in Sweeney, he is so loving compared to Darken. And he used to be the frightened nervous one.

I love my boys, it makes me so angry that people buy them for young children and when the kids get bored they just leave them, don't understand why they get them in the first place or why they can't just rehome them if they don't have the time to look after them in the first place. pow-pow
