I am addicted to piggies. I really want another one but I know it would not really be a good idea. I dont think Ollie and Isiah would get on with another piggy as it took ages to bond them two.
I have space for another piggy but I know that they would need cleaning out more than twice a week because they smell a lot in my room but I wouldn't have the time to clean them out that much. Also it would cost a fortune in sawdust and vegetables.
I'm trying to convince myself here not to get another piggy but I want one so much.

This little piggy is up for adoption -

He comes with his Vet Bills which in the month of June cost me £460.

Or how about this piggy -

He's hit the £200 in the last 3 months.

Wait I have another one.

He had his teeth done this year in February £120 for his little mouth!

My point is you may have space but do you have the pennies to afford if they all get ill with more pigs illness is more likely.

As you have a pair of boys it's unlikely you can add to them and you may end up with 3 single boys and then of course they need friends all these things have to be taken into account when adding to your piggies.

It's not just the hay and vegetables.

I do second the cost though - Storm cost me £150 easily in the month before we lost her, and lots before due to scans etc. I did not grudge her at all (would have paid far more if it would have helped), but the costs do add up.
xx

I also have room for more..... but would not want to upset the group dynamics / hierarchys I have so resist....at the moment..... but never say never :))

I would hate my current piggies to be attacked by new ones..... I tried (and failed) to integrate my current 2 groups so can easily see how bringing in new ones is not that easy. (maybe I gave up at the first hurdle though)

Also, as flintstones said, its worth considering the cost and your situation too. ... I worry about my job so that makes me think I have enough at the moment too....

If Ollie and Isiah are boars then introducing a third piggy could be difficult...unless you had a separate cage ?

Just my initial thoughts when I think about any more in my situation - not wanting to put you off but things worth considering....

Ooh..... on saying that I would love Fred...... but it wouldnt work with my girls.... so I will just have to drool over him from a distance instead ...I can do drooling :))
I hate to add up what Toffee (RIP) cost me in the past 8 months....

You could always sponsor a permanent rescue resident piggies. Many rescues have sponsoring schemes. It is a more personal way of supporting a rescue.

Why not become a piggy godmother?

Well Flintstones, I would love to have Patrick since you are offering :)) I'll also take Milo and you can have Sweets and Fez in return? DEAL!

I want people to put me off - I know it would not be a good idea, but they're just so cute and cuddly. Also I start back at work next week and will be away from them for long hours. I haven't worked since I had them both and I'm going to miss them so much. I must have will power. Gonna go eat some chocolate now to take my mind off it... :))

That's what I've now resorted to, there are sooo many permanent residents and it's nice to know you're helping them a little bit :)

Its a nice idea but I already sponsor a goat called Toggy at our local rescue centre and a dog at the Blue Cross and I have to draw the line somewhere otherwise I would sponsor all the animals in the world and I cant afford that.
So I think I might buy myself one of these:

surely they can't cost much to keep....
although this one looks like it eats a lot...
