I'm a first time Guinea Pig owner, I've had 2 for only a day now. Their names are Reese and Rolo. I've been watching them a lot and I've barley seen Rolo drink. I want to assume I just haven't looked over while he's drinking. I don't know if there's anything I can do to make sure he's drinking or if there's a different way to give them water. They are a year old and have used the bottles that hang on the cage for a long time. I dont know if I'm over worried or if somethings wrong.

I gave them a bowl and Reese will drink out of it but Rolo hasn't gone near it.

Piggies drink as much has they need to - some drink a lot, others very little
The need to eat comes before the need to drink - so if a piggy is eating and maintaining their weight each weekly weight check then they are definitely drinking as well

Don’t worry.

I have all sorts of behaviour from drinking regularly from a bottle to never touching it . Vet told me to try nipple . No interest. I try to maintain 80% hay and mine do love lettuce in the morning.

Current two have no interest in water bottle or bowl or any form of water. I did slightly force a syringe of water in this recent hot weather but they avoided that as well . Tried to spit it out. Didn’t seem to appreciate it !

Both wee on my lap most days when I get them out so must be coming from somewhere?
