So Duncan wasn't taking seed heads from me, or hay, and I was panicking. Alarm bells, GI Stasis? Then I gave them a fresh pile of hay and he tucked in, phew! But he seems to be scratching an insane amount, so I want to get some Gorgeous Guineas for them, will I need Xeno 450 as well, or not?

I would take your piggie along to the vet,to get a correct diagnosis, just to ensure you get he correct treatment for he correct problem.:)
That's the thing- we did, really recently, and mentioned we were worried about skin problems and she said his skin and coat looked healthy, and recommend Xeno if we were worried.

Maybe await advise from a health and illness advisor, its not usually recommended to treat on spec.i understand this is difficult if the vet suggested this.@Adelle.

Thank you, I hope @Adelle or @Wiebke or someone more sensible than me will help! I think there are really small specks of white in his fur, but other than that, his coat and skin are fine.

Is he near a radiator in a fully heated room? I know that some of my piggies react with scratching (no mites) when the indoors heating season starts and during cold spells. That is from the dry air. The little white specs are likely dead skin flakes.

If there is a LOT of high intensity scratching, then please a vet, especially if you notice irregular areas of hair loss that have no equivalent on the other side of the body. The problem is to figure out whether it is mange mites, potential fungal or dry skin. It could be any of them, but they need different treatment. In the very early stages, it looks all the same... Without handling or seeing a piggy, we cannot diagnose, nor are we qualified to do so.

He's in a fairly small room with a large radiator, that could well be it- I'll keep an eye and see how hot it gets. His fur looks completely normal and thick, but I will keep a close eye on the scratching.

You could try and see whether introducing some extra humidity into the room allays the scratching, especially as there is no loss of fur.

My piggies live in our small spare bedroom / office. They have all been checked for parasites which has come back clear but are all covered in skin flakes. As Wiebke has mentioned, it is due to the heat from the radiator.

Thankfully mine are not scratching or in any discomfort,

They could all do with a bath to be honest but as it isn't a medical problem, I am waiting until after the winter.

But obviously see a vet if you are concerned x
